2nd Amendment Rally April 30, 2011

Here is the preliminary announcement for this years rally. I will be posting updates on speakers and other activities as we proceed. We had a great rally last year with Dave Workmans excellent keynote address, the candidates that spoke and Gray's Q and A. Open Carry Wa. showed how it was done. See pics below of last years rally. Perhaps someone could post the video link for those that haven't seen it. Everyone came together to help out last year. We will also be putting out a needs list (canopies, tables chairs, etc). As in the past I will put out a press release to my media contacts as we move closer.

SECOND AMENDMENT RALLY
Washington State
PRESS RELEASE
For Immediate Release: January 19, 2011

2nd ANNUAL
WASHINGTON STATE
SECOND AMENDMENT RALLY

The 2nd Annual Washington State Second Amendment Rally will be held on Saturday, April 30 2011, beginning at 10:00am at Tivoli Fountain Park, on the grounds of the State Capitol in Olympia, Washington. Please save this date on your calendar for this exciting and informative event. More specific details to follow.

This year's Washington State Second Amendment Rally is being organized by several Second Amendment Advocates and Advocacy Groups, including Washington State Open Carry. All who stand with us in supporting and protecting our Second Amendment Rights are invited.

Event schedule, agenda, speaker lineup and partner participation forthcoming.

We had a super turn out last year! Lets see if we can show an even larger turnout this year!

Come and demonstrate your allegiance to our Second Amendment, our Bill Of Rights and to The Constitution Of The United States Of America! Learn about Washington State Legislative issues as well as Nationwide Gun Rights efforts and legislation.

We will not compromise our Second Amendment Right To Keep And Bear Arms!

Our Nations Founders were deliberate and vigilant when drafting the Second Amendment to provide We, The People the protections needed to defend our Country, our Freedom, our Liberty and our Way of Life. They understood far too well the danger of a disarmed population. Thomas Jefferson said it best; "The strongest reason for the People to retain the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is as a last resort to protect themselves against tyranny in government."

If you have questions about this event, or to set up a press interview, Please contact Jim Beal at burtb71@yahoo.com

The mission of the Washington State Second Amendment Rally is to galvanize the courage and resolve of American Citizens to petition our elected officials against establishing anti-gun legislation, and to remind America that the Second Amendment is necessary to maintain our right to self defense.

Just get the word out and have as many folks as possible show up in support. This event is for everyone that owns, shoots or carries a gun.

Last year's event was the first gun-related event I had ever attended. I will try and be there again this year. My son and I had a good time, he wore his western gear complete with sheriff's badge and chrome single action....... cap gun! thumbsup
Heard one couple whispering as they happened to stroll by - wife asks husband "is that boy wearing a real gun?" Husband answered "I don't think so". Guess the bright orange tip of the gun sticking out the bottom of the holster still wasn't quite enough for them to get it.

The sponsors were very generous last year, and I will likely take Buck's up on their flyer offer this year!

Thanks. I got your PM also and just hadn't replied as I didn't know if I was going to make it or not. It's looking like I may have to sit this one out. I'll have to rely on my two partners and a couple great members to get the word out at the rally. I have some upper respiratory thing going on and need to try and get better but I also don't want to hand it off to others.

Good evening,
Is this an "Open Carry" event? I missed the Starbucks Rally. I know this is different.
Thanks
