Lets Organize an M1A Shoot! I'm just trying to put some 'feelers" out there to see if we have any M1A Fans/Shooters here. If so I'd like to organize a M1A shoot at some point. Let me know if this sounds like a good idea to anyone.

How about meeting up at a CMP match? http://www.rfgc.org/matches/cmp.phpQuote: Matches are generally held the fourth Saturdays of the month from March through July. Start time is 8:45 AM and matches usually last about 3 hours. The course of fire is 88 rounds at 100 yards. Renton Fish and Game Club

Renton Fish and Game Club My rifle has optics on it and is setup up with aftermarket parts so I couldn't use it there I guess. Yeah! bhpdrew has a nice M1A also!

You don't have to shoot the match. You can shoot during and after...

My M1A can reach out to 800+ yards, but I think 200-300 is far enough for me.
If I want to hit something 1000 yards away, I'll use a .300 Win Mag or something.
