I can't make it, but who is running what kit? I'm always interested in what works for others.

I just did the trek form Monroe down to Tahuya last weekend. It's a bit of a drive, but wasn't too bad on the weekend. Especially if you're going to have fun.

That goes in the B.O.B. There will be a discussion later at the BBQ regarding options in what you choose to pack. Be prepared to defend your choices in a debate-circle setting. I got a B.O.B set up just was wondering if there was anything else we actually need in the kit. I was more thinking mine was going to be for a disaster I.e earthquake situation more than a combat pack. But you are right we will see how it works out. On that note any recommendation on the amount of ammunition we will be needing for this?

Ja, 40 to 50 rounds for rifle and 20, 25 for pistol should be plenty. This ain't nothing fancy folks, low budget targets and low pressure competition. Since this is an area open to the public, there may be others using the pit...we'll deal with that as best we can. See ya then Wolf

Sounds like I know where this is, and it sounds like a blast. Too bad I'm sick, low on 9mm, and currently set up for a 3day hike. I'd have to reorganize for a day trip. Maybe next time.
