You don't have too but if you do it would be from West Seattle to Bremerton.
If you don't then you'll still pay the toll when you cross over the Tacoma Narrow's. But if you are okay with just driving a bit further... you can go down to Olympia and then up to Shelton area.

Update: Shoot will be at gravel pit near Wolf and Mercy's place. We will meet up at the Shelton Denny's at 10:00 am. Shooters will carry one rifle and one pistol each. Bring as many mags as you like but we will limit each mag to 5 rounds...this ensures mag changes while shooting. 10 rifle targets and 5 for pistol, at different distances. Last target for each weapon will be shot weak hand...if you're right handed, that one will be shot left handed and vice versa. If you have fired 5 rds at one target without a hit...you are dead You will do all this while wearing your bug out bag, combat harness, backpack, whatever you would have on while going through a hostile environment. If you don't have one, we can provide an extra heavy one to wear during the shoot. . Starting point will be the last bend in the road before the pit. There will be some sort of task to perform between rifle and pistol, it's a surprise. The purpose of this shoot is twofold... to have fun as well as letting you know how well your gear works in da woods. Oh yeah, whoever wins gets to put on the next event. Wolf

(Think about it: we're inviting strangers to our home.) Regarding the fairies (LOL): The shortest route from Capitol Hill, Seattle to Shelton (according to Google Maps) is via the Bremerton Ferry, down Highway 3, for a claimed 55 miles. You can skip the ferry and take the Narrows bridge and highway 16 for twenty extra miles, or go all the way down "around the horn" via Olympia for another thirty. (Narrows bridge and hwy 16 is a beautiful drive full of twisties. I-5 and 101, well, isn't. )

A BOB just like any pack... looks good on "paper."
But once you put it on your back and have to carry it for a few miles... things that had priority... loses priority pretty darn quick.
Weight and space... if it's on your back. it's limited even for the fittest person.

JaEsIf wrote: thanks B.O.B it is, guess we will see what is needed and what is waste If you have to leave your house (for whatever reason--fire, flood, rioting in the streets, Blue Helmets, earthquake, volcanic eruption, the Black Plague), what do you take with you? That goes in the B.O.B. There will be a discussion later at the BBQ regarding options in what you choose to pack. Be prepared to defend your choices in a debate-circle setting.
