These cleanups are very rewarding events, not just for “us” but they are fantastic for kids, etc. as well. And Bill is the king of organizing these, so this one should be amazing! I can’t make it this weekend, but I really hope some other WaGunners can get out there to eat! Support. I meant support.

Thanks, Caveman and MadPick,
Yeah, good times ahead! Looks like it should be a good turnout, as we're getting some volunteers from the 4x4 clubs also!
Hope to see good representation from the gun community! That's the most important part that the DNR needs to see!

If you wanna know something interesting, I think that being out in that heat really helped with my congestion. It’s not healed all the way but I tell you I feel so much better sweating my butt off today.

Attachment: E98DBACB-D79E-4F97-89D7-018157E6D137.jpeg The count was 29 volunteers! 4 trailer loads of trash that DNR took to the dumpster, and 1 pickup bed full. It filled that dumpster up real good! And all that was from the one main Stimson pit area and that other no shooting place down the old road. Yep, the food was real good, the prizes were fun, the people were a lot of fun and awesome to see so may families with kids! Then, when we're all done and I'm loading the truck, several other families came out to shoot with their kids! I think everyone left about 12:30-ish and I was ready to roll at 3:30. Gassed up in Belfair and got home at 6:30. To clarify the pic: It has Jim's name on it and it was an appreciation award for his stewardship in his local area, as well as, his volunteer efforts in many other areas. You deserve it, Jim! Well earned! Bill

My favorite part...
While camping Friday night, at the Horse Camp, I crawled into my cot at 8. At 8:05, angelic voices began to fill the air with beautiful singing! I laid there listening and then heard a guitar, then a banjo and finally an awesome harmonica. These ladies had such great harmonies it was totally cool!
It was the Camp Host and her two friends who came to camp with her. I found out the next day, she has a band and plays gigs all over that area.
I couldn't help be smile myself to sleep.
Very cool place to camp!

My NOT so favorite part...
While camping Friday night, about 12:30 AM, KABOOM!!! An explosion. 5 mins later, KABOOM!!! another one. 5 later, SAME FREGGIN THING!!! It went on until 3:30 AM! Then followed by pistol and rifle shots! It was going on just to the North of our camp.
Someone dumped a lot of cash on explosives! I listened intently and tried to listen for the thunk of a firework, followed by the explosion, but no, no pre-noise at all. As each one went off, they all sounded the same in tone, with some smaller and some larger. I was real sure it was explosives.
NOT NICE! I had to get up at 5 and this BS was pissing me off!

Bill, you are the man with the drive, determination and planing expertise. Thank you for all that you do. Thanks guys, it’s nice to be appreciated at times and I was not expecting this at all. I’ll try and get more involved this year, these last two sucked a bit.

Here's the info on the Tahuya SF cleanup event. Lots of pics! The 'Gist' of this message, is to Do What You Can to Save Our Places To Shoot! Even if it's 2 to 6 folks enjoying a day of target shooting, be sure to do a good cleanup when done. And communicate to the new people that there are rules that we need to adhere to, otherwise we may loose another place to shoot. Details of this cleanup are on the Trash No Land website 'Blog': https://www.trashnoland.org/heres-tahuya-volunteers/
