In Northwest, Would-be Terrorists Might Face More Than Police

While the Pacific Northwest is a long way from Europe, coincidentally in the wake of Monday’s terror attack in Manchester, England, Seattle’s KIRO reported on a Tuesday law enforcement drill about responding to a “security threat” aboard a Washington State ferry.

BBC Host: ‘Get used to terrorist attacks’

In the wake of the Manchester terror bombing that targeted young women attending an Ariana Grande concert Monday night, BBC host Katherine “Katty” Kay told MSNBC that Europe is going to “have to get used to” such attacks.

Just a thought but what good would an armed citizen be against someone wrapped in explosives mixed with nut and bolts?

Might be effective against an active shooter but a suicide bomber???

I'm all in favor of people being armed but since we've become a "backpack society" with everyone from schoolkids to business people packing them, how will you really know you're under attack before the big BOOOM?

The only real defense I can think of against suicide bombers is explosive sniffing dogs, and even then, you just make them detonate it at a time that maybe doesn't kill as many people.

BTW I was on the police boat used in the ferry insertion drill, but a few days prior - they were talking about the upcoming training.
Seriously fast - very impressive.

How about carrying a (small) pig in a conspicuous manner. :ROFLMAO:
Seems like the pigs blood thing on buses is working for the Israelis.
