Anti-gun Spokesman Admits ‘Partnership’ to ‘Influence Hollywood’ on Guns

A spokesman for the anti-gun-rights Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence unintentionally confirmed what many in the gun rights community have long suspected, that Hollywood and gun control proponents cooperate to incorporate a gun control message into entertainment.

I had actually considered seeing it for a few months, The TV commercials had the requisite drama and intrigue that might be worth an evening out. Then last week they finally put a trailer/commercial up that said what the actual subject matter of the movie was about. VETO... Bummer to Jessica Chastain is smokin.

GD Anti gun hollywood BS.

This is a large reason why I no longer go see movies.

Let's see....last time I paid to see a movie was in 1985 I think.

Proud Hollywood boycotter since 1985! Pro sports as well.

I'm right there with ya...

Last movie I paid for, probably 15 years ago. I can't even remember. Went to a few on dates but date paid and she wanted to see the films so I was forced... saw MM4 when it came out but only due to getting a free pre-screen ticket.

Last time I paid to see a sporting event was probably almost 20 years ago. Had free tickets a few times, and generally sold them. I could have seen the Seabirds for free when the Bills were here but I passed. No thanks.

I do watch DVDs and Netflix but that's nearly free per film/show... almost zero advertising too.

My last movie was a year or two later.

Figured I would wait until it came out as a rental. Pay less than $5 and sit in my own living room eating popcorn that didn't taste like something from an oil refinery or have my shoes stick to the floor.

I figure I've saved tens of thousands of dollars in the last 25 years, especially when travel, food, and snacks are figured in.

My wife and I figured that we got to see all the movies worth seeing that way and the rest just showed up on TV for free.

That sounds exactly like me and my wife.

Sticky floor, sticky seat sometimes, people walking/talking crunching loud, high volume sound system (my ears used to ring coming out of those dens of iniquity!)
We don't miss going to theaters in the slightest.

We stopped going to the movies a long time ago. If there's a movie I really want to see, I wait till it comes out on DVD/ Blu Ray and buy it. I figure even for a first run movie that's only going to cost me about $20, way less than going to see it with two people and all the other associated costs. Plus we can watch it as many times as we want, and if we really like it, rip it and put it on an SD so we can watch on planes or whatever. If it's one that I'm interested in owning, but aren't going to die if I don't see it right away, I just wait a few more months for when it goes into the bargain bin and get it from there. Or wait till one of the online merchants is selling it for $4 & free shipping (Slickdeals is your friend here).

We've been to a couple of Hawks games, and 1-2 Mariners games (boooooooooring!), and don't really want to go any more. Even with free tickets (the only way we've ever gone to the games), it'll still cost you $100 or more before the night's over.

I very rarely go to movies.
Not many I want to see, and if I do I just wait and watch it at home on Xfinity, Amazon, or Netflix.
Have an overhead projector in the theater on a 15 foot screen, nice 7.2 sound, two 15" subwoofers that shake the neighbors house, a bar, fridge, pool table, and kids that make popcorn for me.
Doesn't cost me anything.
And if I want to get up, I just stop the movie.

I saw some blurb on the movie. Asked myself "I wonder what she is battling", searched around...........not super evident. Hmm.....then only later do I find out. She is battling the "evil gun lobby"..........which is us btw. Oh and UBCs. They are like social justice. And shit.

The quickest way to make a product disappear is to stop buying it, or don't buy it to begin with. That being said, even if you don't watch CNN, or MSNBC, or whatever useless channel/show is on, if you are paying for cable, satellite services, or buying the DVDs - you still are supporting the drivel.
