Post Romney warns about 2nd Obama term
Romney warns about ‘O’ second term; Today’s NRA bash

ST. LOUIS — Warning that a second Obama term in the White House could be a disaster for Second Amendment rights, Republican Mitt Romney told abut 6,000 National Rifle Association members that their hope for real change is to vote the president out of office in November.

I think that Obama has proven his incompetence and PO'd enough of those who voted for him the first time around that many would rather vote for Elmer Fudd in November than be associated with Obama. I mean the real Elmer Fudd, not Barney "Fwank", the Elmer Fudd "voice double".

Post Re: Romney warns about 2nd Obama term
I didn't vote for him the first time. John McCain is the only liberal I ever voted for. The thought of him getting a second term scares the hell out of me. His massive deficits, pandering with Iran, wanting to cut deals with Russia on national defense and his lack of respect for the Constitution and SCOTUS are worrisome. I feel he has a long hidden agenda in his efforts to "fundamentally transform" this country that he is keeping under wraps until the election is over.

I am going to bet a few (let's limit it to 5) bottles of 10 year vintage Dom Perignon against the same on the following statements:
1) Obama will get reelected for the second term
2) The doomsday for gun rights that Republican party hacks promise will not happen
We will need to define #2 better, I guess, but... place your bets, gentlemen, place your bets...

I will have to decline for several reasons.
1) I don't drink bubbly french wine
2) With nearly half of the country voting to have the other half support them, I do not doubt that Lil Barry will be re-elected.
3) The gun rights issue will remain on the back burner until one more liberal is appointed to SCOTUS

So... By the half of the country who tries to get the other half to support them, you must mean...

1) Strong majority of people with graduate education
2) Supermajority of the employees of the tech companies (Microsoft, Apple, Google all have liberal to conservative ratios of something like 10:1)
3) The likes of Bill Gates, Steve Ballmer, George Soros, Warren Buffett - basically, people who created wealth, rather than inherited it

...right?

Wrong. I was referring to the nearly half of the country who pay no taxes.

Well, this is a very interesting question - thank you for asking!

There are 1.3M units of public housing in the US, 40% of which is occupied by people 65 or older. These people vote in largest numbers, and they vote predominantly Republican (more than 2 to 1). The rest 60% are poor and mostly black, the demographic LEAST likely to vote.

So when all is said and done, even if there is a Democratic edge to the population of public housing (and it is highly likely that there actually isn't), it is way too small to make any difference.

P. S. You do not need to be in public housing to pay no taxes. For instance, 4000 people with incomes above $1M pay no taxes. As do more than half a million people with incomes above $100k.

If Barry gets a second term and can replace another couple supreme court justices the 2nd amendment is over!

Nice try with the stats. The 40% of 65+ Section 8 tenants probably did not start off in a housing program after reaching that age. More often than not, they had been on it for a good deal of time, before reaching 65. All the while, not paying any real tax.

Secondly, how do people with incomes above 100k not pay taxes? The same deductions are offered to all citizens who earn a W2.

You do not get off the hook very easily without paying taxes in this country. The media likes to make it sound like once you start crackin' big dough, that the .gov just says "go ahead, keep all of it".

Lastly, just to shed some light on your perspective, just how close to Chernobyl were you reared, Comrade?

There are lies, damn lies and statistics. Take a drive through a large complex of section 8 housing sometime and have a look at the bumper stickers on the parked cars. You will not find much support for Republican candidates.
