I think this is excellent

I've got an idea for an anti-594 ad:

Show a dark room with an upset woman sitting on a couch in her house.

Have her say that she was attacked a week ago by an intruder who tried to rape her. She had a firearm and used it to defend herself. The police took the firearm as part of a normal investigation but due to 594 she has to pass a background check to get it back, and it's been over a week and it's still going. Meanwhile she has lost her protection and no friends can loan her a gun either. Then have her state that her attacker bailed out of jail right away and she's afraid he is coming for her. Then show her looking to the side, have a window noise break in the background and have her scream "no, he's back!" and freeze it right there and fade out.

What do you guys think? Too over the top?

A new report states that districts containing Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City ranked last in enforcing federal gun laws in 2012.
The report, from Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, shows that the districts of Eastern New York, Central California and Northern Illinois ranked 88th, 89th and 90th, respectively, out of 90, in prosecutions of federal weapons crimes per capita.

Since the December 2012 shooting in Newtown, CT, there have been at least 62 school shootings in America. How many more before our leaders pass common-sense laws to prevent gun violence and save lives?
Communities all over the country live in fear of gun violence. That’s unacceptable. We should feel secure in sending our children to school — comforted by the knowledge that they’re safe.
