This is a rifle that is quite different from my standard tactical guns. Its a classic hunting rifle chambered in 6.5x55 Swedish mauser. I started with a commercial FN action that I blueprinted, and fit a Shilen barrel to the action. I modified the bolt shroud to use a Gentry Model 70 3-postion safety and used a Timney trigger also. The stock is what really brings the rifle together, and the barreled action is painted with polished blue KG Gun Kote done by NW Armswerkes. Jim Hawkins did all the wood work, inletting and glass bedding.

It shot MOA at 100 with factory Fiocchi 142 grain ammo. It might help if I shot more than once a year too! I'm trying to change that tho. I'll take pictures the next time I get to the range, which is soon I hope! :AR15firing:

LOP looks like it's set for someone pretty small. What's it measure?

The length of pull is 12 inches which is my LOP as I'm 5'6". I really built the rifle for my daughter, but she is only 8, so hopefully she will grow into the rifle. And if she is tall, well, I'll worry about that later.
