I have decided to restore the gun......so if any of you come across and old model Blackhawk that is rusty and in need of work..let me know, I would like to build a custom Blackhawk

I appear to be an outlier here, but the Sherriff's model is the least interesting to me. I vote for full restore.

I'm going with restoration, I can always go back and modify it later...

The biggest roadblock to me taking up restoration jobs- a slight phobia regarding removing too much material.
I have a conservative voice in my head that says "any removal, however slight, weakens the structure."

Do you have a method of determining how much you can remove Casey?
Also, can you see any ratio differences (height/length, etc) after the most severe job you've done?
