I've heard state law protects you there for that sort of shooting, but civil law outcome is dependent on the county you live in.

Personally speaking, I would take a baseball bat to someone fecking with my car but I certainly wouldn't shoot them. But hey, that's just me.

In WA you must be able to articulate that you were in fear for your life (or loved one/waguner if present).
