https://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/feb/18/virginia-lawmakers-pass-gun-transport-bill-for-con/I'm not great at posting from my phone, but found this interesting. Its from 2015, but we should push for something similar under the same reasoning they did.

We have something even better. We have state preemption, so there ARE no local gun ordinances.

This article refered to carry of a loaded rifle or shotgun though. The carry permit allowed for any loaded weapons if I read it correctly at 5am...

Yes every state has specific laws.
Washington State is a CPL for concealed pistol license. Other states may have a CWP - concealed weapons permit or something to that effect which covers a range of “weapons.”
Washington only covers pistols (aka handguns). Rifles and shotguns are a no go for anyone to be carried in a vehicle loaded with or without CPL.
So comparing permits or license is a bit vague and one must be clear what it pertains to so we can avoid potential misunderstandings.

I was at work all day, but, yeah, I was thinking the reasoning that is listed in the article is what should be proposed here to change us to a CWP vs CPL. Fight for widened rights.
