I was looking online for the time being for a holster for my FNP-40 to use for both open and concealed carry. I found the brand Alien Gear and am intrigued by their product. Has anyone seen or heard anything about them or have another brand that makes good holsters for around $50? I do plan on try a few holsters at stores and doing more research once I get back to Washington.

One of the better holsters from what I have heard. And cheaper than cross breed.

Here's an earlier thread on the subject: http://waguns.org/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=34658Overall, I've been happy with mine.

There have been some complaints from people carrying DA/SA guns that the trigger is not entirely covered by the kydex (notably the HK USPc). Double action position Single action position

I have 2, one for my Styer M9 with a leather backing and one for my Ruger LC9 with the neoprene backing. Love both of them and will not hesitate to buy from them again.

So I decided to buy alien gear holster and even talked my wife into letting me get two of them. I got the OWB and also their new IWB 3.0. Now to wait for delivery.

Own four. I like them all. Their turn around on orders is pretty quick.

Based on the recommendations here I got the cloak & tuck 3 for my Browning Hi Power. After a few hours carry I noticed the safety was disengaged.
The guns wobbles a bit and that results in the safety being moved. I contacted AG customer service and they said "it happens" and ...
So caveat emptor.

Tell them that returns for defective products "happen" as well. I have heard that they have shit the bed the last few months. Your holster may be one of those.

I struggled between AG and Blade-tech. They were my final two. I've heard nothing but good about AG, but I heard more comments from those on the range about BT.
Having seen both on the range... what sold me on BT was the ability to go IWB or OWB, with the accessories that it came with. I wanted to buy one that fit the need for two carry types (Conceal and Carry when around town and Action shooting when at the club)
I do not know the retention adjustment ability of AG, but BT has adjustable retention ability with a simply phillips screwdriver.

AG retention adjust ability it via screws and provided rubber spacers. The screws are Allen head but the holster comes with one when you order it.

So caveat emptor. Weird. My AG holsters have never disengaged the safeties on my Glocks.

I have an alien gear holster for my Glock 19, and have been very happy with it so far. Definitely worth the money and then some.

I have found that while AG, BT and CB are good, Don Hume has been getting more of my money. Less material, one clip on and off. All IWB. I like BT for OWB.
