Anyway, I had an interesting run in with a rather... unique person in downtown Seattle yesterday who took umbrage with my open carry. I've posted the story several times, and rather than type it again, am pasting the post I made on Facebook and put on the WA-CCW mailing list.

This man is the face of liberal tolerance and the gun control movement. I went from Lakewood to Seattle by bus while open carrying, then rode the ferry to Bremerton, spent several hours in Bremerton, took the ferry back, and then back to downtown Seattle to catch a bus back to Lakewood, and the only time I had trouble open carrying was this afternoon. This person was so upset over the fact I had a gun, he had to point it out to everyone around me, and interrupt me while sending email and listening to music to inform me that I must have a small penis, that someday my gun will be taken away from me, that I had no business wearing a gun, and asking me if I needed a gun to feel important, and wondering if I was the next George Zimmerman. This tolerant face of gun control was vicious, vindictive, verbally abusive and overall, an asshole. Remember, they don't want to just disarm us, they hate us just for owning guns.

I asked him if he was from around here, and he claimed he was. Was complaining how I was the only person in a city of half a million people wearing a gun LOL.

An equally annoying bit was when I was about to board the bus, a couple of King County Metro Transit Police decided to do their little "Show me your papers" song and dance and wouldn't let me board a bus until I showed I had a valid CPL. I guess a person is automatically assumed to be in violation of the law, or they had a contact quota to meet or were just bored or something.

That guy qualifies for getting raped and robbed at gunpoint before he figures out that guns are only as good or bad as the people who legally or illegally possess them.

God forgot to separate the dip and shit in that one.

To get onto the bus. You need a CPL in a vehicle no matter how it's carried. It was still pretty presumptuous of them to assume that I didn't have one. Guilty until innocent I guess. I filed a complaint.

True. Mine was. I think the deputies were called by Mr. Happy there, and they were trying to look like they were doing something useful. Waiting to hear back from KCSD on my complaint.

Being antagonistic or challenging only stoops to his level and makes us look as bad as him.
