 My Mossberg all decked out
I bought this a few years ago as a faded out wood stocked beast with a barrel and tube full of cobwebs. I tried to restore the wood, but it was bulky and ugly. I had to refinish the blueing, but it's all good to go now.

Fun project. The collapsible stock is also easy to remove if I want it shorter I guess.

I also dremmeled the stock so that it was totally comfortable to grip with it collapsed. The way it was, it was scraping my wrist when firing. I also drilled and taped the receiver to mount the sling loop. The pump wiggles a bit because the barrel appears to be tapered. I'd like to fix that, but it would mean a new barrel and I'd lose the bayonet lug.

Re: My Mossberg all decked out
how about some additional info on the forend... magpul grip I assume, but is it mounted on a rail? what about the flashlight mount?
Nice looking setup.

Re: My Mossberg all decked out
Thanks for the link. Makes sense, but I'm a stickler for perfect fits. Oh well.
The only magpul part is the AFG I modded. I dremeled it and added the strap. It's on a Mako fore end. I think the pistol grip is a mako one too. I just remember them both being really hard to track down anywhere at the time. The neat thing is that I have less than $500 into it, maybe even less than $400, and it's been a fun gun. I had set out to get any shotgun I could find with a bayonet lug. I just happened to only see this one that day at the wac show. Worked out great. I set out to over do it, and I achieved my goal! lol

Re: My Mossberg all decked out
Oh, and the mako forend has two small rails on the side and one running the length of the grip.

I actually bought one like those for $14... never could figure how to mount it w/o a spendy trip to the gun smith.
