I've always had a slight crush on the A2 AR15, and after seeing the PSA sales two weeks ago I figured now would be a good time to jump into it. Cant wait to shoot this beast. 20" PSA 5.56 complete upper Geissele trigger Anderson lower DPMS LPK

I like it.
Not quite Viet Nam era because the hand guards are different, but pretty much the same elsewhere, is that correct? I'm no expert, but this looks a lot like the ones I took care of while I was in the USN.

The hand guards came with it and I believe they are different than the real old school ones. Its a budget build, but a little outside the norm.
$390 not including the transfer, tax and trigger

The USN rifle probably had an A2 upper as well, instead of a flat top with carry handle/sight attachment. There are a few other nuances of the rifle that truly make the title fit the bill. I think the title could've been, "A bit old school, a bit new school.... and a whole lotta totally cool!

Hell it's only been 30+ years since then, I'm sure I'm not remembering all the details anyway.

It's more of an A4 than an A2. And not even close to a Vietnam era A1. But for $390.00 all it needs to do is shoot

Daddy likes.
My last build has a fixed front sight post. Something comforting about that.
