Just finished assembling my latest AR10 (.375 Raptor).

UPS finally delivered the scope, mount and trigger yesterday evening. swapped the Mil-Spec trigger out and got the scope squared and mounted. I ordered some Lehigh Defense 250gr Controlled Fracturing bullets along with some Cutting Edge "Maximus" bullets but they won't be delivered until the 26th. For now I'll zero it and break in the barrel with the 250gr Sierra's.

The .375 Raptor case is simply formed. One pass with a .308 Win case, through a .375 Raptor full length die. Then trim to length and load.

The .375 Raptor produced 3360+ foot pounds of energy at the muzzle with the 250gr Sierra's and is still a heavy hitter with the 350gr Sierra Match King's subsonic.

Never heard of that caliber, time to do some research. Good looking build bud! I love the CMC flat 3.5lbs triggers!

Whoa. OK, that looks like a pile of fun right there.

Awaiting pics showing a 0.3 MOA group from "cold barrel, just breaking it in with some random factory ammo I found." :shocked4:

I have been wanting to do a 338 federal or 358 Winchester for years. Did not know someone had taken it up another caliber. Only makes sense. Are projectiles high as hell?

I paid $120.00 for 100 Lehigh 250gr Controlled Fracturing bullets

It's $82.00 per 50 for the 256gr Hammer bullets and $65.00 per 50 for the Cutting Edge Bullets 250gr "Maximus".

Those are all specialty lathe turned bullets. It was $45.00 per 100 for the 250gr Sierra Gamekings. 260gr Accubond's (Which I really like) are around $40.00 per fifty. I'm going to keep checking the Nosler "Second page" and when they show up I can purchase them as "Seconds" or "Over runs" at half their retail price.

I also have always wanted a 338 federal AR-10. I no longer have any reloading supplies, but this makes me want to get back into it!

Well, well, well ... The damn thing shoots!

Loaded up 5 rounds with the Lehigh Defense 250gr Controlled Fracture bullets. Just to see if it would go bang and not come apart!

This is the first 5 shot group at 100 yards. The cold/clean bore shot was out but the next four stacked up a hair over half inch.

The above 43.5 grain load was seriously compressed and I had a little more primer flow around the firing pin Strike that's I care for. So I backed it off half a grain to 43gr of 10X. I didn't make a scope adjustment and fired three at the 200 yard line for a three shot group @ .496. I'LL TAKE IT!!

I'm going to load up a bunch on his evening, zero it at 200 yards and call it good.

200 yards.
