Had a busted no buttpad stock laying around, and a saw...

That's awesome. I have that flat ended tap just for Mossberg bead sights too. My project was a 19" barrel cutdown though.

Nice. Suggest one further addition. Take a spare length of nylon strap, measure, and screw with large washers into that plastic forearm to make an area to slip your hand into for more secure hold. Cost is about zero but it may offer a better hold due to the recoil and no shoulder stock.
