A Swede and an Egyptian

I've been on the prowl for a Swedish Ljungman AG-42B for a couple years and finally bit the proverbial bullet and picked one up off of Gunbroker. The very next day I stumbled across a Hakim for sale as well. I got the Ljungman last week, and I picked the Hakim up the day before yesterday, so I thought I'd post a few pictures of them together. Next on my list is a Rasheed to go for the trifecta.

Yeah, back in February Rock Island Auctions had a lot with a Ljungman, a Hakim, and a Rasheed in it (along with an Egyptian FN-49 and a French MAS)...I thought, "Hey, it would be great to pick them all up at once." Their estimate was $1,500-$2,000, and the lot ended up going for $4,600...way too rich for my blood.

I really wanted a Hakim until I ran across a video of a dude smashing his thumb in the action. Apparently it's worse than a Garand for that.

I thought the Hakim was one cool piece after shooting Steves but I just cant do another caliber in the pile. Now the Rashid, that is one I would REALLY like to get ahold of
