I think I'm finally happy with my "bug out" guns and knives. Post pics of what you have in your BOB with a brief description and why you chose that setup:

-Kel Tec Sub2k gen2 Glock 17 edition
-Glock 17 with Storm Lake barrel and night sights
-SOG mini tomahawk
-SOG Spirit (spear it)
-Morakniv fixed blade
-10x 33rd Glock 18 mags
-1x 50rd drum mag
-2x 17rd Glock 17 mags
-414rds 124gr American Eagle 9mm ammo

I chose these guns because they are mag interchangeable. Every mag on the table will work in either the glock or the keltec. The sub2k folds up tiny and fits very easily in a backpack. 9mm isn't the most ideal rifle caliber but I like that if either weapon fails the ammo/mags will work in the other. Gen2 sub2k is also threaded, might be time to get my first can! The Tomahawk is for basic chopping, etc and it fits perfectly on the side of my pack. The spirit knife is basically a spear tip that can thread onto any standard broom handle to make a very strong (I stuck it through 5/8 plywood with a hard thrust) thrusting weapon. The morakniv is a cheap and very sturdy do all fixed blade. (available for $11.32 shipped with Amazon prime)

I have that same Mora knife (including color, good choice!)
I finally got to do a little Bushcraft with it a week ago and I was pretty rough on it. It still shaves. Best budget knife you can buy IMHO.

100% agree! The guys here on Waguns pointed me in the direction of these knives. Extremely stout and unbelievably cheap!

Morakniv on Amazon starting at $10: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss ... s=morakniv

I'm lazy so I'm just going to jack that dude that was on that prepper show. So whatever he has, I'll leave his bathroom tile vest though.

So you'll end up with a 12ga single shot, 1/2 bottle of lube from his last jail stint, and a few extra "toofs?"

I just don't see a situation where I am "bugging out". More likely a bag to get me home is more important.

I agree, my mindset has shifted in the same direction. I think for me personally it's more just an excuse to buy gear. Yay gear!
Got the AK by M+M (needs to loose weight, more range toy as is)
Springfield Mil Spec 1911
762tactical chicom chest rig with 6 AK mags and 2 additional pistol mags
Mora Companion
Estwing Hatchet (made in Merica!)

Nice! I should probably ditch the tactical toy tomahawk and get something more like your hatchet.

I think BOB and GHB are basically the same idea, you just have to make sure to take a GHB with you everywhere.

Nothing wrong with the SOG if it does what you need it to do. Plus it's always nice when your gear matches. If you can't tell, I'm partial to olive drab.

I went and took a rebuttal picture of your backpack but the AUG might have made that seem weak sauce. Never the less.Image

Not at all, I like your pack. Seems like it's almost the same design as mine. How do you like that pack? Holding up well to use?

Lol, not unless there's a stack of cash in the pack. But I'll be looking into those packs as I've been wanting a back up.
