Hi Steve have a G2 Contender with three barrels: MGM 22LR Match, T/C 22 Hornet, and T/C 7mm TCU with various sight ribs for IHMSA competition. I'll see if I can snap some pics tonight and get them uploaded.

How do you like the Hornet out of it?

It's been great. I use it for IHMSA Field Pistol class which are metallic silhouettes of chickens, pigs, turkeys, and rams placed at 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards respectively. It has a 10" barrel with Ken Lee sight rib on it. Basically an adjustable aperture sight which I always use at the smallest diameter.

Recoil is very mild. Accuracy has been more than good enough for shooting metallic silhouettes though have never done any group shooting with it so can't really say what the group sizes are.

Using Sierra Match King 53gr bullets over VihtaVuori 3N37 powder 5.0 gr and a Remington 6-1/2 primer. Very reliable, not position or temperature sensitive. For IHMSA I am limited to around 1700 fps to avoid steel target damage/cratering otherwise I would use Lil'Gun which really optimizes for high velocity in this cartridge.

I've been trying to figure out what the next barrel to get should be. I was thinking about a .45/70 but by the time you load it down to be manageable, it doesn't have a lot going for it in a short barrel IMHO.

I'm starting to think a stable of zippy small caliber barrels might be just the ticket. I'm going to try and get some trigger time on this .223 today. The guy I got it from said it liked 50 grain bullets but he couldn't remember his pet powder load. I'm thinking a .218 or .17 Bee might be a hoot as well.

Not sure what the factory chamberings are for 204/22 caliber cartridges. I know the 22 K-Hornet is also a popular choice. Though if you order a custom barrel from Match Grade Machine for about $250 then the world is your oyster:

Another great site for researching T/C Contender & XP-100 guns is Specialty Pistols. They have a classified section where used barrels are frequently up for sale to the astute lurker :)

I've been drooling over their 7.62 Tokarev and 30-40 Krag barrels.
