Nice gun. Didn't come from S&W with a nickel trigger and hammer of course.

S&W M&P Target .38 Special 6" from about 1912. About 10% of M&Ps are Targets, so they're not easy to come by. Pistol target shooting was pretty niche back before WWII.

That's a sexy revolver. I love the long barrel!

S&W 14-3 (early 70s) with a single action only hammer. Could have come from the factory with it, but probably was added later with a blister pack kit (only a $100 historical letter will tell me if it's factory). This was popular with Bullseye shooters at the time, compared to the DAO speed shooting guns for the PPC crowd. The hammer drop is slightly shorter and lighter than with a standard DA/SA hammer. Not a beauty queen, and with the dying good light here I didn't wipe off the silicone very well. But an odd bird that I think I'll hang on to...

And...my wife is a former professional photographer, so I typically take these shots with a pro-caliber DSLR that, even though it's over 15 years old, is miles ahead of any cell phone camera.

My dad’s .357 Vaquero set with Super Blackhawk hammers and short stroke actions by Lassiter. Will be really hard to let these go, but unfortunately they need a new home soon.
