He was a writer for Sports Afield, Outdoor life, many other publications in his "day". He has written two books on deer hunting. (Norm Nelson google "deer hunting with his name") He is my Godfather. "Swedish Hit Man" when it came to shoot elk and deer. :)
I drove 5 hrs to see him this week-end and he gifted a 1961 Walther P38 to me with only 16 rounds through it! 3 mags, shoulder holster, 200 rds, 2 books and a case. WOW! I felt so honored! I found out some further information from a former German Army officer on this pistol.
The marks shows a P1 proofed 1962, proof house Ulm, Germany., former P38, used by Bundeswehr (German Army), police, customs and government.
