I'm a leetle steamed at Altamont right now. They sent the wrong grips and replacement grips seem to be slow boating here.

If not then could be the reason for the delay. I order a holster from cowboy needs and they did not have in stock so they have to make it making me wait an extra three weeks.

Those look good. I found the square butt Altamonts to be way too large for my hands, but the round butts look about right.

They seem pretty goofy and are generally nice. First they said they would have to make them then they said they have then nothing. Not sure of status now.

I selected Bonded White fleur-de-lis and they sent a different pattern.

I'm 6' with average hands. There aren't many guns that are too big or too small. Everything from a Colt .25 to a LAR Grizzly or Deagle are A-OK. Another thing I learned from the Altamonts: aggressive checkering and magnums don't mix well. Go smooth or light texture.

I mainly shoot .38 spl and +p out of them since I use that mainly for defense. When I do shoot magnum out them the recoil is light of them so I'm not worried about the checkered design but thanks for the warning. I will keep that in mind if I get wood for my .44 mag.
