It's the Wilcox flip mount for EOTech / Aimpoint magnifier or a NOD.

The advantage of it is that it only takes gross motor skill mount the magnifier. Once mounted the device is always at same location, so the eye relief is taken care of.

The disadvantage of it is its cost and that it weights slight more than other simpler mounts.

Believe me - these puppies are SBRs.
