Nice, I like those old guns. I used to have a similar pistol (not exactly the same).

Every time I've seen one of these it was wrapped in "grease paper" and kept in the bottom of a fishing tackle box icon_eek

Talk you out of it? I paid for it, besides all you were gonna do is sell it to someone else. Image

Hush. It sounds better this way. Besides, it was easier to sell it to you.

I'm gonna admit, this is really funny! At least I know that gun is in a good home.

It is funny. And it's in a very good home. I had no idea about any of it's history until I got it home and started researching it. Met Fred for dinner that night, showed him the gun, and it was pretty clear that it had to go home with him. Fits his collection of old and classic guns quite nicely. If you poke him gently you might even get to hear about them

To Bear 45/70,
I have a 922 pre 1936 model that has a little piece broken off the hammer that holds the hammer 'half cocked'.

If you ever have occasion to take the hammer out of the gun I would very much appreciate a picture of it.
It would help me find the part or have a replacement made.

Thanks,
Bob
