Wow two on my list for sure! There is a postwar .38/44 here in Spokane at a shop, but the guy wants something like $1600 for it which is Gunbroker pricing. It's probably in 90% condition. Pretty sure it's on consignment.

Daaaaamn, that is quite a collection! I've got a few toys myself, but when it comes to British revolvers, I've got zip.

Do you shoot them all? And are you a reloader, so you can feed them?

I have shot all of them. I don't reload, but the ammo is available. .38 S&W is acceptable to use in the .38/200 revolvers. 200 referred to the weight of the original bullet of 200 grains. The Brits later reduced it to 178 grains. Commercial .38 S&W loads currently available tend to be in the 146 grain. Changes point of aim a bit, but these aren't really target pistols.

The .455 Webley is a bit trickier. Only one commercial load by Fiocchi is available, and they only load them periodically.

The Brits allegedly change to the .38 round because they felt the .455 load was too punishing on the shooters. Considering the weight of the Mark IV, and how anemic the round truly is, this surprises me. On the other hand, the .38 Enfield and Webley's are smaller and lighter, so there is some weight savings there. The .38 S&W is also pretty anemic by modern standards.

Many of the .455 Webley revolvers imported into the US had the rear of their cylinders shaved so they could load .45 ACP rounds on moon clips. As the .45 ACP had higher chamber pressures that the .455 Webley, this is a failure waiting to happen. Some of the .38 S&W's were altered for .38 Special by replacing the cylinder. The issue with these wasn't pressure, as the S&W Victory's were also produced in this caliber, but that the bore on the .38 S&W is larger than the bore on the .38 special, so there were accuracy issues with these conversions.
