Well, I just spent a bunch of time updating my Photobucket links to Imgur throughout this thread....

So let's add some new content . . . here are two cousins that I bought yesterday, both in .45 ACP and both made in 1918:





One is a Colt M1911, which has likely been re-arsenaled. The other is a Colt M1917, a U.S. Army revolver in .45 ACP.

The M1911 needs a mag, which I've ordered. The M1917 needs moon clips . . . also on order.

One thing is very clear: My gun photography skills have gone to shit the last couple of years.

Mind sharing what you paid for them? I'd love to have both of them. What years are they? The 1911 has the flat back strap which indicates WWI era.

1917 S&W M&P .38 Special 5" round butt



1931 S&W K-22 Outdoorsman .22LR (1950s plastic grips)



1952 S&W K-38 Masterpiece .38 Special

Both made in the 1930's. Both 38 special. One is an M&P target the other is a 38/44 heavy duty.
