Ok, here's a place for you guys to show off your "Old" handguns!

Here's my 1953 Mfg CZ-52 Pistol! 7.62x25mm, 8-Round mag(can be converted to hold 9!), weighs about 35 oz unloaded. It's a pretty cool little gun, it has a "Roller-Locking" system that is similar to the what's found on the H&K G3 Rifle. Shoots good, but has a horrible trigger, It will be going into the shop to fix that someday.

And here's another one

1930 Commercial Model(1933 Mfg) "Broom-Handle" Mauser Pistol! 7.63x25mm(Not 7.62x25mm Tokarev Compatible) 10-Round Integral Magazine loaded by Stripper Clips, weighs a hefty 40 oz! VERY COOL gun! shoots real good too! but it is hard to shoot, so I had to go through 20 rounds before I got it right. Needs minor internal reworking(a few new springs, I can get em' for cheap) and it will be as good as new!

Ok, ok, I'm feeling good tonight, so just one more for my favorite forum buddies!

1921 Mfg S&W Model 22(based on the 1917 Model) N Frame, .45 ACP, weighs in at just over 40 Oz! Very good shooter, but the sights can be an acquired taste. As with the Broom-handle, I had to shoot this gun a few times before I could find it's mark. and the .45 ACP rounds are easy to find! An added bonus!

Ok, guys, I have several more handguns that are considered "Old", but I'll get some pic's of those later, and let you post your guns here! have fun!!!

Nice pistols, Robert!

That's interesting about the CZ-52 trigger. My CZ-52 has a very light trigger, but I've also installed a Harrington firing pin. Have you looked into those? I didn't have the original firing pin in long enough to remember what it felt like, but I don't remember the trigger pull being bad.

Well I think you are going to have wait for my estate sale on this one. The decocker doesn't work, but the gun is a wall gun so it work's fine for that. Looking for a Luger P08 as well. Already have a Mauser K98.

Here's a Rossi Model 68 (I don't know how old it really is, but is has seen some use.)

.38 Special(Not +P safe) 5-shot, S&W J-Frame style, 3" Barrel. Weighs around 20-25 oz (I have yet to weigh it). The rather tall front sight means that it shoots low at close range, so I have to aim accordingly. Other than that, it shoots really good! can be used for Home Defense too! The gun is pictured with 158-Grain Flat-Point FMJ bullets, but I'm going to buy some Personal Protection Rounds when I get a chance.

Come on guys! Let's see some more Handguns!

Okay, Robert . . . sorry it took me so long to get the photos taken, but I'm ready to rock and roll now. thumbsup

I'll start with a Russian TT-33 Tokarev that I bought recently:

This pistol is AWESOME because it's a Russian Tokarev. End of story. It feels great to shoot, and I love the history. However, it does have a few less-than-awesome points to mention:

- The previous owner Duracoated it silver, and later removed the Duracoat. He did a decent job of removing it and preserving the original finish, but you can still see traces of the silver along some of the edges of the pistol such as at the top of the ejection port.

- These pistols did not originally have manual safeties, but when they were imported to the U.S. then manual safeties were installed. Somebody removed the manual safety from this one, which is really nice from a shooter's perspective . . . but it does leave holes.

- That damned safety, when it was installed, scratched the finish and almost completely obliterated the last digit of the year: 194?. It looks like either 1940 or 1946 to me, which is a significant difference because I can't tell if it's a WWII pistol or a post-war pistol. The slide has the old-style serrations at the back, but I don't think those answer the date question for me.

- This is the pistol that has been piercing primers on me. I'm still working on a solution to that.

But even with all that . . . I love this pistol. :-bd
