I went back about 15 pages, and did not see a general AK thread. I want ideas on what to do to this pile of shit. I was thinking of finding some black laminate wood. Or maybe go for some pulled surplus wood. Ideas? Post your AKs for inspiration.

I can't read the stamping...who made that AK? Also...what magazines are those? They look like Circle 10s...but clearly aren't.
ETA: I'd change the stock out (side folding surplus wire stock or AR stock adapter+MagPul MOE)...depending on the quality of that lower railed handguard - I'd keep it...otherwise, I'd go Bulgarian (heat shield) via K-Var or LHV-47 via TDI Arms (tri-rail).

Its an IO INC USA made variant. The "club foot" style stocks don't really look good on anything other than RPKs.

Success!! First up is of course a Draco bought in 2009 still cherry. Next 2, a Norinco MAK90 and a Still brand new Polytech MAK90.. Yes, I know I'm changing the Polytech back to the wood stock..

a2 stock adapter, then put an agp arms ar15 side folding polymer stock on it. keep the handguard you have now. that's what my ak would look like, at least
