Apologies for the crappy pics, there aren`t any spaces large enough in the house to get the whole rifle in the frame without a dog or cat somewhere in it. 1916 ShT.LE. BSA manufactured, complete with mag cutoff. 3/4 of the wood is Australian made, and dated 1942. Butt is original, and the butt plate screws are 100% mangled. Rifle is completely matching, sans magazine. |

I inherited a Type 99 Arisaka from Dad. He had the gunsmith set the barrel back and re-chamber it for .308 Win. The name of the gunsmith per the barrel markings was "RW Lathrop". Dad made the stock from a mahogany semi-inletted stock from Herter's. I just load .311 bullets in the .308 case, and it shoots very well. |

Hard to compete with Cruffler's beauty, love that Mannlicher stock! This one is not super old, from 1969, a Mossberg model 800, I cleaned it up for my neighbor and my Father decided he had to have it http://tincanbandit.blogspot.com/2015/0 ... rifle.html |
