Those 6.5mm Swedes are straight shooters, as accurate as the Swiss straight pull rifles.

This one, is mine. The scope is an old Redfield Widefield model, 3-9X40. Has the weird semi-rectangular front lens. Now to get the *&#^ zeroed. Nice mount job TA. Don't think this the right scope. Any suggestions, with some sort of range/elevation reticule, that is not going to cause another banking crisis? The receiver is an 1898 Tula and the M39 conversion was done in 1942.

Here's a Mosin Nagant M91/59 carbine that I picked up at last month's Puyallup show for $175. This M91/59 is similar to the M38 in that it's carbine-length and does not have a bayonet, but the difference is that the M38 was built as a carbine and the M91/59 is a shortened M91/30 rifle. Check out the rear sight; the numbers corresponding to 1100 through 2000 meters have been milled off. This is normal for the M91/59, since it's a modified M91/30 sight. Carbines like the M38 were built with sights that only had 100 through 1000 meter markings on them. I haven't shot this carbine yet . . . but that job is right near the top of my to-do list!

Sounds like we need a Mosin day soon Steve! Picking up that one tonight. Can I bring it over for you to photograph? Your photos are good, and I always suck at full size rifle shots.

Picked up a 91/59 Mosin last night from a SGN user (hopefully soon WGO member). Its 1942 Russian in excellent cond. Been in the safe for 10 years and is still coated heavy with Cosmo. Pictured with my M44. Small imperfection in the stock. Cosmo goodness...

Dang, that's purty! I even like stock repairs. They show character.
