Saturday April 4th
Greenwater FS70 Shooting Pit Cleanup
I have coordinated with the Rangers to close the pit that day and they will supply dumpster(s), trash bags and Nitryl gloves for everyone. If any has pickup trucks or trailers that can haul trash, they will also pay the dump fees if we happen to fill the dumpsters.
I was up there on Sunday Feb 22nd and the place was a mess. If we don't do something we are going to lose this shooting area.
Date: April 4th Time: 8am Location: FS70 upper pit (the one with the Jersey Barriers next to the road).

I will try to make this. As it currently sits I'll have to work that day though.

I'm interested in coming to help clean the pit, but I'm 17. My parents are fine with me going but they can't make it. I was wondering if I would be able to go if I got a ton of friends and come out. Is there's someone that could sign a community credit paper so we could get some hours? Thanks.

Welcome to WaGuns, Jack! When we did a similar cleanup recently, the DNR rep gave each of a us a "credit slip" showing that we had done 8 hours of work. Once you get to 24 hours, you can get a free Discover pass. I don't know if there will be something similar at this cleanup, or if a DNR person could sign your credit paper . . . or maybe even Bill as the organizer could.

We can get something signed from you. Either me or the Rangers. -Bill

Do I need my parents to sign something? I have noticed they need to sign things when minors work on national forest lands. Thanks.
