Where the heck is the pit in Rainier I've heard people talk about? It's not on the map. Grrrr.

Lame. I've had several people tell me about it and it would definitely be the closest free shooting for me. I guess I'll be off to Elbe tomorrow.

A few freinds and I were warned two weeks ago. Been shooting there for years and that was the first time ever seeing a DNR officer up there.

Really it's private property? I haven't seen the sign at all and there are always people there. It is going to shoot though with everybody tearing it up. This is the place off of Johnson Creek Road right?

This is the place off of Johnson Creek Road right? just because people are out there does not mean it's right. Post Re: Tenino "Honey Hole" - Visited on 12/30/12 IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!! I received and email today about a person who was approached by DNR today while at the Tenino Honey Hole (Lat: 46.848364 Long: -122.722859). According to him, the DNR person mentioned that the property was PRIVATE LAND and that the owner didn't want any shooting on the property. There has been some issues of fires burning out there and DNR has contacted the owner and stated that he would start getting fined if there were additional fires that they had to deal with. I checked with Thurston County and CONFIRMED, that this Honey Hole is in fact PRIVATE PROPERTY. Because of that, we are removing it from the WaGuns.org Range Map.

After visiting the pit in Elbe I have determined that a WaGuns cleanup is in order. The place was pretty trashed. Since it's smaller than the pit in Capitol Forrest it doesn't take much to fill it with trash.
