Well there is all sorts of fail there ranging from "Totes not a silencer bro" to the name of his company.

Those caps aren't drilled, nor are the baffles (that I could see anyway)
Sooooooo anyone waiting for their form 1 who has acquired the parts, but hasn't drilled them could be slapped with a felony too???
Obviously this idiot's mistake was selling them complete, but until they are drilled they are just parts...

There is more to this story than just possessing the tubes, caps and undrilled baffles. Since the end caps and "Cups" aren't drilled As stated above, those are just pieces of metal.

Then again, the Feds can do whatever they want. So anybody who has these parts and a pending Form 1 can expect a visit from your friendly government agent since you have now shown "intent" and let them know by filing said Form 1.

Awesome! I love our Government and now I feel safer. :thumbsup2:

So all you people with Maglites, freeze plugs and a cap that will screw on the bulb end are now Felons too in the eyes of the Feds.

Better not go to Autozone, they sell that shit there.

Well, that article is a total piece of shit, short on facts and long on Facebook research.

My *guess* based on the article is that he got busted not for the solvent trap kits, but for having some of them drilled and completed as suppressors without the necessary paperwork.

+1

Hundreds if not thousands of solvent trap kits have been successfully submitted and approved on a Form 1. ATF knows the difference between a pile of metal parts and a silencer. Hell, I received a tax stamp for a SDTA kit back in April. This article did a terrible job of documenting the physical evidence against this guy. He had to have royally F'd up to be in this kind of trouble.

The article was a bit "light" but it looks like the fellow did cross the line.

Quote:
A search was conducted at XXXX’ residence on May 19, 2016. Several firearms were seized with silencers attached, as well as assorted silencer parts with drilled baffles and end caps, other assorted parts for making silencers, and boxes of parts showing mailing information that they were imported from India.

Sounds about like the retard in California that had an 80% factory going. Walk on the edge of a cliff and you will eventually fall.

Few years ago a guy ordered 5 torch cut AK parts kits.
ATF raided his house, duct taped them back together and got one to fire a single round before it blew apart.
Convicted of possession of an unregistered machine gun.

ATF doesn't make their own laws, the Technology Branch Chief just pulls binding decisions out of his ass on a whim.
Being on the grey side of an ATF decision is a bad place to be.
