I went to South Sound 911 in downtown Tacoma. I got 6 digitally printed fingerprint cards for $22 total. Additional cards are only $3 each. 2 cards for $25 is a rip off.

"Once you get it down" being the key point. I was talking to SilencerShop and they shared previously with individual applications they processed where people rolled their own prints they had a very high kick back rate. One dude's form got kicked back three times before they accepted his home rolled prints.

So my view is for $5 for the first two print cards and $3 each after that I will gladly pay someone. When they take your prints using a FBI certified software package each print is digitally checked at the time of collection and basically guaranteed to be accepted by the ATF.

Not surprisingly, Jody is wrong (not the first or last). The SilencerShop SID kiosk only supports Form 4 applications at the moment. They are working on Form 1, but it's not out yet.

One common misconception is the SID kiosk only works for purchases through SilencerShop.com website. This is not correct, the local dealer can use the kiosk to complete any suppressor or SBR sale from their own inventory using the kiosk. The fee to the dealer is $25, which is then up to the dealer if they pass through or not to the customer. Dealers are going to quickly figure out in the post 41F world of paperwork that $25 is the best money spent.

Final note on the SID kiosk. SilencerShop is releasing a mobile phone app which will take your application passport photo and automatically upload to SilencerShop. The app released this week for Android in the Google Play store. The Apple iOS version is waiting for approval now in the Apple App store.

Thanks for sharing about the software. Wish I had known. I have "bad" prints from years of working with my hands. Would be nice to have them checked as they're being taken. Will know for next time.
