Because Benja doesn't respond fast enough to texts (I keed, I keed) --

I can only get one+stamp. I want to use it on

CZ Scorpion
Sig 226 9mm
AR Pistol/SBR 7.5" barrel .223
AR 16" .223

Reading thru here it seems the Silencerco Hybrid would be the choice. But curious as any other good options?

Build your own and you can get 3 for the same money.

Is the Hybrid rated for a 7.5" 223?

Nope. 10" minimum.

I would really go at least 10.3" on a 5.56.

The Griffin Optimus is rated down to 7.5", but if you are trying to beat 41P, they are really hard to find, so get the Hybrid, be nice to your can and buy a 10.5" barrel. Or go with a 7.5 or 8" 300blk.

Silencerco Specwar 7.62 is rated down to 7.5" in .223. It's a great can on both calibers. :thumbsup2:
Check with Silencerco or South County guns in Elma.

Haha...I just texted you back. Long day at Interlake but I did chat this over with MadPick and guncruiser while we were shooting.

As others have said - the length of your AR barrel is an issue. Also - finding something in stock will be an major problem too. Call ALL of the NFA dealers in the area and see what they have IN STOCK...do not allow them to sweet talk you into something that is not in stock - you simply won't make the 41P/41F cut off. Write down what they have and what the price is and then call the next one...keep this up until you have a nice list and then post it up here. Crowd sourcing is your friend.

I believe the SilencerCo Hybrid is a great choice - even though it won't work on a 7.5 inch barrel AR.

Also, MadPick had the idea that you should buy something that does 5.56 and/or 9MM (your choice) and then file at least one Form 1 stamp for a 22LR suppressor (and maybe a second one for 9MM if needed). The Form 1 stamps will go through and be approved, then you can build them when funds allow.

A drill (press preferred), a vice and a hacksaw.

You need to buy two cans/stamps. Octane 9/45 and Saker 5.56/7.62. Only way you are going to cover all your caliber and barrel length needs.

Just in case it hasn't been said enough already - you are shopping 2 cans. Figure out whether you want pistol or rifle first suppressed and then defer the 2nd until after 41F.

Supressed subsonic 9mm is awesome. Supressed supersonic 5.56 is very gassy and not really an ideal platform for a can in my mind. 300blk is crazy super quiet with subs so if you are willing to jump into that caliber go with one of the 30 cal can's mentioned.

And/or just build the 9mm can to be rifle capable. 9mm is nominally bigger than 300 and will work very well for it. Only reasons I am building a 30cal can is I am making it bigger so it can handle 308 etc, and that I can keep the 9mm on my scorpion. if you want 1 or 2 cans to cover the majority, build a 9mm and something 223 compatible (which will also work for 22)

1. Hybrid
2. Rugged Obsidian or the Dead Air Ghost M

These two will cover many of your handgun and riffle needs. :bruce:

Plus they are sexy too.. :inlove:
