Hi Guys -
First, thanks for all the inputs on my earlier thread - after reconsidering, I passed on Wade's Gun. Went to Pantel Tactical and got a Scorpion SBR! Now, for the important stuffs as I'm waiting on paperwork:
1. Silencer options - any recs. Also, what does everyone here prefer (direct mount vs tri lug). For the tri lug, I saw one from HK parts that fits just right including that metal retaining clip.
2. In term of trigger work - the gun comes with a 10# trigger. I know the gun is "world safe" with the welded screw, etc... What are my options short of using CZ custom shop.
What other upgrades are recommended?

Why not build your own suppressor as you are waiting for your SBR?

HB Industries has a bunch of options for the Scorpion.
The right side safety selector sucks for most people. You probably want to get an aftermarket one or replace it with a safety "delete." HB Industries makes a nicer paddle mag release that works a lot better when changing out mags quickly.
Remember, you need to be 922r compliant. The Scorpion has 16 non US parts, so you will have to replace 6 of them.
The trigger, muzzle device, stock, magazine follower, magazine base, grip, disconnector all count. The safety, charging handle, mag release, do not count.
I personally bought aftermarket parts following advice from Josh Pantel, instead of trying to get the CZ 922r kit.
You can either get a 3 lug adapter (I did, since I run my can on my MP5 clone the same way). Or you can get a direct thread adapter depending on which suppressor you plan to run.
Have fun! It runs a lot better suppressed than most other 9mm guns. Very little gas in your face. The Sig MPX on the other hand is quite gassy.

I've read good reviews of this but haven't used it myself https://hbindustries.net/store/shop/cz-scorpion-evo-3-s1-reduced-weight-trigger-spring-kit/Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk

I've used it, night and day improvement and easy to install. Buy it. Also get the AK style selector or selector delete from HB Industries as having the ambi selector for the side you don't need digging into your hand is a PITA. The AK style selector was both cool and functional. Oh and buy magazines. By the time your XFER completes you'll be wishing you bought more.

The right side selector beat the hell out of my hand, shooting it as a pistol and pushing hard against the sling for stability. Might be different once it's stocked. I shaved quite a bit off that lever the other day, rounded it off and lowered it's profile. Was gonna cut it shorter but it's hollow on the back side. Haven't gotten to find out how much difference it makes yet. If you're concerned about 922r compliance, you may want to order mag followers and floorplates for all the extra mags you're going to buy. The CZ compliance parts kit uses those for US parts count.

Congrats on the purchase, and you also picked a great shop to support. Much better decision than Wades.
The welded screw is not too hard to get removed. Couple places sell a carbide drill bit, but some have simply removed it with a Dremel. I don't know how technically proficient you are but also consider paying Pantel to install all your mods.
I have the HB Industries trigger spring kit combined with a Shooter's Elements flat faced trigger and I highly recommend this combo. Originally I installed a right side safety delete to keep the stock safety lever from digging into my index finger. Then recently I switched to the Gear Head Works reverse safety lever and that is my new favorite out of all the options I've seen/tried in person.

There is a fair amount of good aftermarket stuff coming out for the CZ Scorpion. HBIndustries has good safety levers and trigger springs, GearHeads make an improved mag release lever, Parker Mountain Machine has some QD mounting option, YetiWorks (?) makes some grips, and it seems that many more aftermarket parts are becoming available daily. I wish there were more grip options. This link to Recoil is a two part article on CZ Scorpion upgrades: http://www.recoilweb.com/cz-scorpion-evo-3-s1-upgrade-buyers-guide-71717.html The upgraded parts list can get a little spend..... HTH and Good luck.

Another vote for HB spring kit. dropped over 2# off my trigger on my scorp. I think Josh carries some of the HB parts. Hardest part about the swap out is if you have a welded trigger pack. Maybe ask Josh if he can check and install the spring kit while it is in jail??....
Scorp has a 18mm thread on it (unless you somehow got a 2016 model) That requires an adapter or to have it sent out to have the barrel re-threaded. There is a guy on the scorpion forums on FB that does it, but since your gun is in sbr jail you will have to wait until after it gets out to send it away. I believe there are also some 18 to 3lug adapted out on the interwebz..
Welcome to the scorpion club, I love mine and cannot wait to run it with my 9mm form1 can! It gets form1 sbr submitted in 30hrs.

I personally think 3-lug is the only way for suppressor attachment on subguns.

I would consider tri-lug, but all my cans are form1 so it would do me no good as I know of no tri-lug endcap I could use with a sdt can. Only "qd" I know of is the one SDT makes inhouse with acme threads.

Glad to see all the tips. I have my scorpion and will be form 1 it. So good to see different setups.
I'll be getting the he industries spring kit, gear head works safety and paddle release, and some qd swivel points most likely.
As for tri lug. I would have loved to but it was going to cost more than I cared for to get the adapter and part for the can.

I want to join the party! Here is my setup while I wait for form 1 SBR and Supressor. Upgrades: HB industries; -trigger spring kit -aluminum trigger -aluminum charge handle -ak style safety -trigger pack replacement screw Gear head works; -paddle mag release (this upgrade is only ok, a little rough on edges, rough on bare hands but still very functional) KAK; -Shockwave blade arm brace kit (Already have 922r stock kit on standby until form 1 clears to sbr) Parker mountain machine; -qd sling mount (on rear) Yeti werks; -everest pistol grip (Would hold off for more future manufacturers, nice piece but looks more like a prototype piece, shows layering marks from 3d printing. Good but overpriced) -denali qd sling mount (front) (Requires removal of front handguard, need a nice set of locking pliers and torche to remove nut on barrel. Not hard but can be a bit tricky to do) Optics; -burris fastfire 3 on American Defense mount. Future plans, -im thinking about rethreading barrel to 1/2x28 then attaching silencerco 9mm flash hider ready for ASR mount. I plan to run my silencerco hybrid on this when it gets out of NFA jail.
