You could do a 9mm PPSH?
I agree an M3 would rock, but the parts seem to be a bitch. There are some dummy guns out there built with real parts, and some other parts running around, I suppose with work a person could cobble enough stuff together to build one, but what a PITA

99% of the receivers have been cut and cannot be welded into a working weapon. I've looked into it. The PPSH, though cool, just doesn't give me a hard on.

A M1 Carbine would make a great SBR if it was set up correctly with the proper stock and accessories. Could be cool Undoubtedly cool Kinda goofy, kinda cool 9mm, good suppressor host Minus the Eotech pos this makes my pants tighter than a 12 pack and dinner at Old Country Buffet Hard to beat a classic designed short barreled weapon Because boobs If you want to be different and shoot expensive ammo Nope I like that they kept an extra 2" or so of barrel length on this AK. And the triangle folder seems to be the best stock for AK SBR's $400 worth of stamps on a 10/22

WCA makes a 300 black out starter sbr. no stock, no handguards, no bcg, and an 8" barrel.

.308 SBR seems a waste ballistic wise, to me. I am leaning more toward something that can handle 9mm+p+ Since I have 5000 rounds of Winchester Ranger +p+ causing my floor to sag...

It is a waste. But so is .22wmr in a pistol. I still giggle like a little bitch every time I see that muzzle flash out of the PMR-30 though. Fun is wasteful sometimes. My first SBR was an AR. Interchangeability. It's limited by caliber but you can play around with different barrel lengths and upper setups. I thought it was nice not being totally locked into a fixed design for my first SBR. NFA is pretty much forever IMO. Either make sure it's something you really want or something you can change, but you already know that.

Well, unlike many, I have seen what a MP5 can do in a combat setting. It was rather impressive, honestly. The 9mm +P or +P+ in a 10.5 barrel is pretty fucking wicked. The .45 ain't bad either... But, platforms in .45 are difficult to find or get replacement parts for.

MP5's are badass. Spendy though, aren't they?

Some clones are economical... but I am leery of their quality.

I have the answer... viewtopic.php?f=8&t=66216.45LC or .45ACP. Plus .454 & .460. It's screaming out everything you need. Hell it is even the brand you like. Just throw a buttstock on it and go!

Who needs a hi cap mag when you have a wheelgun you can hunt satellites with?
