You could do a 9mm PPSH?
I agree an M3 would rock, but the parts seem to be a bitch. 99% of the receivers have been cut and cannot be welded into a working weapon.
I've looked into it. .308 SBR seems a waste ballistic wise, to me.

It is a waste. But so is .22wmr in a pistol. I still giggle like a little bitch every time I see that muzzle flash out of the PMR-30 though. Fun is wasteful sometimes. My first SBR was an AR. Interchangeability. It's limited by caliber but you can play around with different barrel lengths and upper setups. I thought it was nice not being totally locked into a fixed design for my first SBR. NFA is pretty much forever IMO. Well, unlike many, I have seen what a MP5 can do in a combat setting.
It was rather impressive, honestly. The 9mm +P or +P+ in a 10.5 barrel is pretty fucking wicked. The .45 ain't bad either...
