I suspect if you submit something today - the wait will be 7 or 8 months (and growing). As we get closer to the 41P/41F deadline, the wait will likely jump to 10 or 11 months as people try to get in at the last minute. November 9th - my paper form 4 was accepted So..... (pessimistically) 6-7 months? Hopefully, stamp in May - God I hope it's not all the way to July, or....!!! I never was a patient guy. My 3 cans were 9 mos (or was it 7 mos...?) back in 2014. Sure was giddy that day I went and (finally) visited Chip.

Called the 800 no a few times too. Like it would magically change. I looked at nfatracker last week and got depressed when I saw that dramatically upward trend.

Play their game. Get your toys. 3 cans in 2013.... SBR this year. Hopefully, this will satisfy my "toy" appetite (at least NFA items) for a bit. I doubt the Protect Hearing Act - or whatever it's called (removing cans from being NFA) will someday pass and I can 'over the counter' my next can....

It's funny many of the anti's like to toss around "sophisticated European mindsets" when promoting gun control, yet fail to acknowledge how in many of those lands suppressors are over the counter purchases, and required in many jurisdictions. Hollywood has leverage in our society.

Play their game. Or not. The ruling allows NFA items to be tracked a lot easier...without corporations and trusts to worry about...they'll have a social..fingerprints..and a pic...of everyone who has an NFA item. Registration leads to confiscation. Remember that. Shit...back in the 80s....even Red Dawn picked up on that ..

So let's just let sleeping dogs lie. I'm getting off topic, my apologies. I would suggest anyone doing the trust route to submit a couple form 1s with whatever they wanna build in the next couple years.... there is not time limit..technically..from when a form 1 is approved and when the SBR or suppressor is 'manufactured'..

Because they can't figure out who owns a trust/corporation after you ahem register an NFA item with them?

Fingerprint and photo is biometric info.

Just called the ATF - my SBRs from August were approved on January 27th. So that's 162 days since the check was cashed (which is the "pending" date) and 172 days since everything was mailed in.
If you're being indecisive, just do it - the waits have nearly doubled since last spring and will only continue to go up in the foreseeable future.
