Honestly, this is a great win but doesn't help me much. Now if only we could speed up the horrible wait!!!!! That would be spectacular.

You still need to follow all of the federal rules . . . trust or individual, Form 1, ATF approval stamp, $200, etc.
You'll need to assign a serial number, so if you are doing an 80% you'll have to address that. Let's move additional Fed-related discussion to another NFA thread. Basically, this thread just means that Washington now no longer restricts SBRs beyond what the feds allow.

Are you guys already submitting form 1's? Isn't it still a little too soon?

It takes awhile so you can submit now and by the time the atf gets to your paperwork it'll have been 3 or 4 months and they will have been made well aware by then. People did that when sbr were first made legal. People submitted before it was even signed and had no issues since they didn't get to the paperwork till it was law

sinus211 wrote: Are you guys already submitting form 1's? Isn't it still a little too soon? Mine was already approved - stamped, signed and dated 5/13/2015. Before the phony baloney gate came down. But I DID assemble it myself. So technically I was not within the written law. But it's even more interesting because my Form 1 actually says RMW Extreme Inc, United States is the manufacturer. (They made the lower). It's held by my trust. I think I have it covered, and I highly doubt any of the waguns crowd who saw me blasting away thought of me as some kind of common criminal.

My original understanding was this will become law 90 days after the Inslee signs it or 90 days after session ends with no veto. Is the statement of "now" law incorrect? I don't need to have a few hundred bucks out in Federal refund hyper space for months.
