hey there, just looking for individuals in the olympia area who'd let me shoot their suppressed 30 cal rifles. i'm currently building a lightweight .308 carbine and i'm wondering if the extra expense and hassle of a suppresor is worth it. Don't get me wrong, as a child of the 80's, 90's action movies have made me want a suppressor pretty much forever, now that i'm in a more appropriate spot in life to indulge in such childhood fantasies, I realize i have ZERO operational experience with suppressed firearms. anyhow, specifically looking at "the one" from gemtech and the Omega from silencerco. weight, size, and cost are all factors, with the subcaliber functionality definitely being a bonus (one can to hush them all). anyhow, i'm out of town for work at the moment, but i'll be back some time in october. If i bring ammo and cleaning supplies, does anyone feel like punching holes in paper at the triangle pit?

Moved to the NFA Section. When my Hybrid gets out of jail (any week now), you are more than welcome to come plink!

I have a Griffin Recce7 on my 8.5" 300BO AR your welcome to shoot
I only shoot it suppressed so I didn't bother timing the mount, which means I can take it off and put it on your rifle if you want to try that too

Yup, just organize a group shoot and you'll have suppressors there. Put out the word that you're looking to try such-and-such, and folks will try to accommodate.

Since in your rifle description, you were not too specific, does your .308 build have a threaded barrel? If the rifle does not have a threaded barrel, factor that cost in that equation also of having the barrel threaded.
