Hi folks,

Looking to purchase a digital scale for reloading. I’d prefer that it run on AC power. I really just want one to cross check my beam scale against.

I’ve been looking at a couple on Amazon, but the reviews are all over the place on all of them. The one that has been suggested a lot is the GemPro 250, but it has the worst reviews of them all.

Considering this one:

And this one:

Anyone have experience with either of these, or can recommend something else around this same price point?

What I AM NOT looking for is an auto powder thrower, just a scale.

Thanks,

-Breck

Hi Breck,
These two options are slightly more expensive than the Hornady you listed and generally have better review stats on Midway:

Lyman:

RCBS

Good Luck,
Dave

I have the rcbs chargemaster combo, I like it a lot. Definitely more expensive than the ones you listed.

Something you should read before purchasing about Digital scales and their idiosyncrasies....

Cheap may not be a good thing..and be frustrating.

Of course its depending on what you're doing.

Plinking vs longrange accuracy.

Geez. After reading all that, maybe I’ll just stick with my beam scale and check it periodically with my check weights set.

Good info. Thank you.

Among those of us that load at the range when developing loads this is the scale that has proven to be best. Runs on Batteries or AC. Nice and stable and easy to calibrate. Not all that expensive;

When it comes to online reviews, I've pretty much given up on them. Too many reviews posted by either competitor's shills or just plain dipshits that have never purchased the product themselves.
