New product from Fraklin Armory, people's minds are melting trying to figure out how it's legal. Will be revealed at Shot Show.

No one knows, somehow they wiggled a loophole through the legaleze. Needless to say, I'm intrigued.

It's probably a rifle/shotgun hybrid firearm that does not meet the federal definition of either one. I like the innovation, and the middle finger to the feds, but I could never see myself buying one when I can build an AR pistol in whatever caliber I want. The lack of a shoulder stock is just not a big enough deal, especially with all these "braces" out there now that serve the same purpose (I know, I know...not suppose to talk about that).

Word twisting.
I think the clues lie in "shotgun below 0.5" with a rifled barrel."
Or a smoothbore 'rifle'?

Lots of people are speculating that it's a smoothbore or that the rifled portion forward of the chamber is threaded on as a "muzzle device". I personally think a smoothbore is unlikely but you never know.

Another theory is that rifles are defined as having one shot per trigger function and this has the Franklin Armory binary trigger.

I don't know the law well enough to know if either of these are plausible. I'm just hoping for a game changer.

The latter would be silly, and a game changer for sure.

Hopefully our guys there won't be hungover, gorged on cake and hookers - and can actually understand and describe this magic.

If it’s the binary tigger that defines it as a non-bag item, then we are still screwed in WA. Binary triggers are a no go here.

Moreso if the binary trigger is redefined as firing more than one shot per trigger action then it's a MG and we're all screwed. Pretty sure it's a loophole between the rifle and shotgun laws making it a generic "firearm"

My guess is it's a muzzle loader that looks like an AR15.
