hrmmm Quote: narrow-neck, modified double-stack When I was contemplating different CCW pistols this weekend I was wondering why no-one had done this yet. Looking at my CCW pistol and holster the only part of the gun inside my belt/wasteband is the slide start around the rear of the trigger. The grip area is above the waistband level and could be made larger for a doublestack which can be easier to shoot in addition to the added capacity. I am am a bit surprised no other company has tried this yet. Keep the slide narrow like a single stack so easy yo fit inside waseband, but bigger grip for more capacity and better ergonomics. I have never been a huge SIG fan and they are usually priced a bit higher, this one has me intrigued.

But the CZ82/CZ83 accomplishes this. Same basic size as a G19/23 but must thinner slide/barrel area. It's a wonderful pistol, amazing trigger, 1911 style frame safety, great ergos and size. Thin barrel and slide, widens out to a more robust double stack mag/grip. Sadly an anemic caliber (9x18 or .380).

I'm really digging the capacity and +P rated barrel. And Sig out of the gate are going to offer holsters and down the line light packages to suit...
I think I will be very tempted to jump on this over my shield. My shield has been amazingly good, especially with a hyve mag getting me to 9+1 in a concealable size... but this seems to be a step up.. especially if that trigger is better. Thanks for sharing this. I had not previously heard of it. In almost the same size package but .18 inches wider (the width of a knife blade) the Glock 26 has decades of proven performance, same 10 round capacity, far cheaper mags that are compatible with other Glock 9mm including 33 round stick mags for $40. Huge market support, and a standard weaver rail if you want to mount bayonet or light! I see this as not really a primary carry but a back up carry or extremely deep concealment, which I currently use a Walther PPS 9mm, which is fantastic and holds 7. I'm definitely interested. But I'd wait a couple years until the beta testing and recalls are sorted out. Not too inclined to drop $600 on a new gun to gain a few rounds. Won't be an early adopter. I don't care for the rail on the 365, and I especially don't care for a "proprietary" rail. Did they learn nothing from HK's proprietary rail failure? BUG or deep concealment guns don't need rails. Also, I'd be curious if the P229 or other mags fit this thing. If not, that's sorta infuriating and a turn off. Mag compatibility is so important anymore that all gun makers should strive for it. The ability to put a 17 round P229 mag in it would be awesome. The +P rating does little for me either. Doubt I'd be firing +P ammo in that small light package regardless of the barrel rating. I'm pretty happy with my current options which don't have recalls and are 100% reliable. I like a larger gun for daily carry and barely notice it's there. Better controllability, and far better capacity.

So, a striker fire with no safety - screw that. Glock and S&W at least have a trigger safety, Springfield has trigger and grip safety, Kahr double action only, CZ PCR/P01 has DA/SA or SA with safety. I'll keep my hammer fire DA/SA, 1911 cocked and locked, or DA only for carry.

So...a Glock 26 fighter from SIG? The G26 came out almost 25 years ago. What am I missing? I like SIGs but I don't see anything mind blowing here.
