Thanks for bringing your target to the range. I just ordered 12 of those elbows.

Thanks!

Pick up a Shepherd Hook plant hanger at lowes/walmart etc.
Drill two holes in 18" of 2x10 and stick this in it. Place a rock or two on the board to keep it up-right and have fun. Easier than trying to stick it in the ground. I've been using one for many years and it works great.

Materials are about $22 each frame. I'm happy. I'll make the cross beam of the larger one longer. I'll also make a 3rd for my 3rd target. Bungee cords are just for moc-up.

Nice! If you want to share I'm interested. A friend came up with another, what I think, is a good solution. Tow strap from Harbor Freight.
https://www.harborfreight.com/automotiv ... traps.html

$12 -> $17 for 20 feet of it.

I already have a couple 10' chunks that another FF gave me.

Just need to cut them up and replace the chains on the stand that was blown apart at the NYD shoot. Funny that only three of us put out steel targets, yet they got pounded like Linda Lovelace.

Anyway. I have a couple other friends that are firefighters. Hoses are the sort of thing that they are supposed to auction off/surplus but nobody really wants them. The end fittings get recycled but the leaky hose typically goes in the dumpster.

Yup . . . that's kinda how it works, typically.

It's nice when folks at least make an effort to shoot accurately and not damage the stands. However, I'm a firm believer in making the stand disposable; it WILL get damaged, so you need to be able to replace it cheaply.

I put the last of my original stands at 50 yrds just for that reason. I’ll grind the chain off and weld on studs.

The stand itself is #6 rebar. There are a few craters but they are fine.

I bought a remnant of AR500 CHAIN. Shit is expensive and very difficult to cut to length.

I dismantled the neighbor's canopy (he paid me to do it) and I made a few target stands from the parts (same as in your link) and gave them away (via TOS).
