While I agree that it's good to be careful, I think you need to be okay with, well, "living a little."
This would be a pretty boring forum if we all just sat around and said, "Um, what guns, you mean the ones I lost the last time I was out on the lake?".

Just because I'm paranoid...doesn't mean they aren't out to get me. Maybe it takes actually being broke into and having your shit stolen (by someone who was trusted...) to appreciate PERSEC... Because that train has already left the station numerous years ago for me.

That shit would push me right over edge. I had a pickup broken into when I was visiting friends who lived in the city. I was a young man in the USN, and had loaded that pickup with my most valued tools, guns, fishing gear so that it wouldn't be left on my rural property for a week. I was fucking Vesuvial in my rage.

Next thread: Show me a picture of the front of your house with address! Next thread: What hours do you work? Followed by: I bet your safe combination isn't as cool as mine... And then: What security measures to use around the house? Yeah, because it is simple to look up the address of "youraliashere"...

Personally, if I was a burglar I'd avoid homes in which I knew the owner liked firearms. We tend to be pretty protective of our castles. I agree with LC and myclonegt...why advertise? The potential for perps to cruise these sites from the shadows is quite possible and unrestricted. Your car is more of a risk to you, any 2a bumper-stickers on it? Do you keep your registration "in the car"? (Don't, keep it with your wsdl).

I like that some posted pictures, makes the thread more interesting... and also reassuring to realize I'm not the only one with a border-line hoarding problem

(picture of Obama on the sticker) You keep your registration(s) with your WDL? Shit I'd have to carry 7 or more registrations and Insurance cards on me at all times. And that seems more paranoid of PERSEC than not posting pics or info on the internet

My security system is a layered perimeter backed up by a stay at home wife with shooting expertise of a tack driving quality.
She likes to practice putting threats down in the yard so's as not to mess up the walls and carpeting.
Even the UPS driver is scared of her.

Some also leave their "housekey" in the form of a garage door opener, by leaving them in the car.
