Went for desert at my in laws this evening and my father in law (who has never owned any guns) pulls me aside and says he has something cool to show me.. He takes me down to the basement and pulls out an old tattered cardboard box, he takes the lid off and walaaaa its full of a bunch of leather pistol holsters and each one has a gun in it. A few months ago his uncle passed away, and since he had no kids, wife, etc my FIL inherited a ton of old shit. This box being one.

So this is where I need help from you... There are three of these Colt M1903 .32's in there all with the same holster, same markings, one mag and are all in about the same shape. I looked them up on various sites, but the price ranges are all over the place. Does anyone have any idea on a value of this?

On a side note, this rusty Ol' Italian Beretta was in there also. This will be coming home with me tomorrow, and will be a winter project.

No idea on the 1903's, (they weren't consecutive numbers, were they?) but that Beretta may cleanup pretty well with Kroil or some other Oil and some 0000 steel Wool.

The way I find prices in the real world is by going to GunStroker and search the listings that ended. Then look again at those that actually SOLD.

None of them are that nice, but Im sure are still desirable. He wants to sell one to put towards a new pistol. After all of these years I finally have convinced him to go shooting with us.

I saw some of those sitting on tables for over $400 at a gun show a couple weeks ago.

I have seen very nice ones sell for 1000 and pretty crappy ones for 300. I also saw two at the show in Centralia. One pretty nice one for 400 and a crappy one for 450 I think. I was surprised they were still there, but the market is funny right now. Mine is a nice shooter and should be worth about 600, but again the market is funny. They are a lot of fun, but the caliber is not that popular. They also made them in .380, but I have not seen many. The one in your picture is a tad nicer than mine. The small parts are supposed to be nitre blue. I have only seen one that still had it in tact. Most these were build in the 10s and 20s and are sweet little pistols. I believe they were issued to military officers also. Mine is a 409 serial and made in 1922. Yours was made in 1919.
