I won't do that because it'll go over the budget.

So the 10 bucks a factory mag will cost will put it out of reach for you?

Just curious. Has anyone ever heard of or been made aware of a prosecution for violating a part count under 922?

I have never heard of one under any form, as a primary or tack-on charge.

I would of course always advise following the law, but I'm just wondering if there is a single case out there where someone violated it and was charged.

I don't even know how that would be enforced.

Most parts aren't stamped with where they are made.

Seems like the only way to enforce it is to police the importers.

Could you clarify your assert, please? May I take that as fine to not comply the 922r?

The law is pretty clear, and we've already established that the rifle as currently configured (with the big mag) is not legal.

What the other folks are saying is that this particular law is rarely or never enforced, and it's fairly common to see rifles that are not compliant.

What you do with YOUR guns is YOUR decision.
